The colour I have chosen is the auspicious color gold and the symbol to represent Chinese New Year is a horse. As next year is the year of the horse, the symbol I choose would of course be a horse. What can be more symbolic than the horse when it is the year of horse? I haven chosen the colour gold is because CNY is an very happy event and the colour should be an auspicious colour. Golden is shiny and normally shiny colours brighten up my day. Golden also represents gold, which meant money. Everyone would want to start the year right, having enough money to spend for the rest of the year. If you decorate your house with golden items, it symbolize gold which is money, it meant that u would have a lot of money in your house the rest of the year.
The image I have chosen is this, it was taken during last years Chinese New Year. I feel that nothing beats the feeling of a gathering with cousins and relatives. It is a rare chance that all of us can meet up, maybe it's only once in a year which is then, on CNY. On CNY we get to catch up with each other, sharing how you have spent your year, or any achievements of the year. This is also why I like CNY so much, It makes me feel the warmth of a family.
